The finite-generator complete-local connectedness frontier
This file generalizes the component-theoretic reduction for a principal hypersurface to an ideal presented by a finite list. Krull's height theorem shows that every minimal prime over the ideal has height at most the number of listed generators. Under the dimension bound used by Grothendieck connectedness, no such prime can be the maximal ideal, so every irreducible component of the quotient spectrum meets its puncture.
The resulting reduction is independent of any regularity of the generators.

DocumentationThe ambient component ideals retain the two power containments used by complete-local intersection arguments. In particular, this formulation keeps the component-partition provenance which is lost by selecting just one minimal prime from each side.

AlgebraicGeometry.FiniteEtale.exists_bounded_minimalPrime_pair_of_not_connectedSpace_quotient_ofList
DocumentationThe exact ideal-theoretic output of a disconnected finite-generator quotient: two distinct minimal primes over the listed ideal have height at most the number of generators, while their supremum has the full ambient height.
Selecting this pair forgets which full family of components lies on each side of the separation. Consequently, a complete-local upper bound for the supremum cannot be formulated from only P ∈ I.minimalPrimes, Q ∈ I.minimalPrimes, and P ≠ Q; the preceding component-ideal theorem retains the data needed by that final intersection argument.
